Approximately four hours ago as I write this blog, Naughty Dog announced that Nathan Drake's final curtain call is now delayed until Spring of 2016. It would appear that the directors, Bruce Stanley and Neil Druckmann want to ensure that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will in fact be the best possible end to the highly popular franchise on Playstation consoles.
this game deserves every bit of the attention to detail, precise pacing, and nuanced storytelling Naughty Dog is known for. So we’ve made the difficult choice of pushing the game’s release date. Giving us a few extra months will make certain that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End not only meets the team’s high standards, but the high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.
Bruce Stanley and Neil Druckmann - Directors of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
I have every faith that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will be as great as it is penned to be and I would rather Naughty Dog delay it than rush the game at the consequence of compromising quality. What do you guys think? You can read the full message from the Naughty Dog directors here.
