This week something remarkable happened in the gaming world. Before I shine a light on that topic let's rewind slightly here; to one of my latest comments on my Top 5 Xbox 360 Games video. In a nutshell I said that I would love to see an Alan Wake sequel and numerous people echoed my thoughts in the comments. Low and behold five days later I find out that Remedy, the same team that introduced the famous Mr Wake and his torch to the Xbox 360 in 2010, actually created a decent amount of prototype footage. Sam Lake, Remedy's creative director spoke with Polygon and revealed thirteen minutes and forty three seconds worth of prototype gameplay of Alan Wake 2. Lake informed Polygon:

We're well in to the Playstation 4 and Xbox One and more recently the Nintendo Switch eras of gaming. Graphics had never looked so smooth and gameplay had never flowed so fluently. Let's not forget the triumphant last Generation of gaming with the Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii; all of which I have a lot of time for.
